Part of the Dance Film included a movement parade where the dancers try on all their costumes and we get to see a glimpse at the choreography whilst seeing what works with the costumes and what doesn’t. Again this was a new experience for me and really required me to be prepared as a supervisor and have everything ready that the designer and Tutors needed.

I found that having a really good line of communication with the making tutor allowed for alterations to waistcoats to take place quickly and smoothly. Having my laptop, pins, phone and a notebook were incredibly important for the parade so that I could take notes and photos quickly and efficiently.

Working with a large group of people was a good opportunity to further my communication skills and my organisational skills as I was key in making sure all the dancers were dressed and ready on time. However, I did learn about how important it is to make it clear about how the rail is set up and explain in more detail to the dancers about how to layer their garments. These are all skills that will definitely help me further in the industry.
