On this part of my major project one of my roles is as head of running wardrobe. This is a new role to me and something I had minimal experience in. In order to prepare myself I made checklists so that I made sure we had everything we needed and checked through what the job would entail in the supervisors section on the blog so that I had an idea of what was required of me.
We had an initial hiccup whilst setting up on the first day of filming as we were missing some of the boots needed for filming. This was a great moment of learning on how important communication is amongst the team as i was not told that the boots were separated. From this I learnt how important double checking the rail and area surrounding the rail is in order to be fully prepared.
I have also gotten to experience being the costume continuity person for the entirety of the filming. this is a job which I have enjoyed doing and learning about. and each day so far of doing this job I have learnt something different. I found that the best way for doing continuity is to make sure you have everything with you for small alterations and cooling the dancers down with me. This means I can sort any issues immediately without worrying about disturbing the filming process for longer than necessary.
